Our long weekend was perfect for getting to some of the smaller projects that have been on our list. The weather was beautiful and I was itching to take on a new project – but not something that would be too hard or complicated. So, I decided it was time to paint the rose bush trellis.
I primed and painted the trellis in the ivory dust Valspar exterior trim color that we tested out last fall here. We decided that it’s not the right color for the house trim, but I didn’t think it needed to go to waste.
Now the trellis matches (more or less) the color of the window trim. I think this makes the trellis look more intentional and less of an afterthought.
Can you believe the rose has doubled in height since we planted it here in June?
I really like the way the pink flowers pop against the painted trellis now.
It’s amazing what a little paint can do.
I hope everyone had a great weekend!
